Designer Notes:

Inspired by classic button downs of the early 1900's, we wanted to recreate a historic piece of clothing by utilizing traditional textiles and redesigning the fit of a traditional shirt. The curved yoke and pointed back pleat along with pearl buttons add a western feel.

Materials and Hardware notes:

The cotton for this shirt is grown in the United States, after it’s harvested it is shipped to Japan where it is spun and woven. This process involves meticulously studying vintage shirts of the past to replicate the density and texture of yarns from textiles that are no longer produced today. The fabric is dyed woven and finished in Japan. It is then shipped to California where it is cut and sewn. This process allowed us to replicate the crisp feel of American cotton often found on vintage shirts, as well as maintaining the quality and attention to detail from mills in Japan.

This shirt is equipped with pearl snap buttons that add a unique shimmer to the shirt unlike traditional sew on buttons commonly found on oxford shirts. The dye process will allow this shirt to age beautifully over time.

Care notes: This shirt is designed to fit oversized at the chest and shoulders, as well as fit cropped at the bottom hem as to drape over the body and allow for a breathable comfortable feel when worn. Please refer to our size chart for more details.
